Uncovering The Truth: The Knockout Game

Knockout, also known as knockout game and knockout king, is a violent activity played by punching an unsuspecting bystander with the object of knocking that individual unconscious in a single punch. The game has resulted in serious injuries, criminal charges for those playing it and in some cases death for the victim.

The game has been played for over a decade and has been known to take place in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Chicago, St. Louis, Washington D.C and recently expanding to other territories. Current videos of the incidents have gone viral on the Internet, making the practice of this game happen more often than they do. Typically played by inner city kids in groups of three or more the purpose of the game is to knockout someone in a single punch to become knockout king. The game can continue until someone lands a knockout.

Many seem to think that only adult men are targeted and but this is untrue as the victim is chosen at random by either the attacker or another individual participating in the game. People also seem to think attackers are teenage boys which is also untrue. Attackers were both male and female teens, some attackers as young as age 12.
